London

I just moved to London from Boston, MA and after the initial shock of arriving in a new country, I quickly got into the pace of life here. Apart from the weather changing at this time of the year, one can easily get carried away with the fast talking Britons who have respect and affection for foreigners. Thankfully, I often encountered wonderful people along the way who never minded pointing us in the right direction or even taking a short walk with us to our destination.

We found the houses quite small and tiny compared to the eastern and western standards but they surrounding beauty makes up for the lack of space. After all one needs home to sleep because London has more life outside than inside the home.
The city is bustling as ever and one can see that its much like described with the policemen in
their big black hats and the famous double Decker buses which are as much part of the landmarks of the city as the Buckingham palace and Hyde park. One can always find their way easily with a city map and an all day pass to the underground which can be used on all trains and buses as all the streets have signs either on the streets or buildings which add to the efficiency of findings places in this vast city.

This is once city that lives up to its historical name inspiring fear when twilight dawns with the stories of Jack the Ripper and Oliver Twist. The diversity of literally every aspect of London makes one feel it the center of the Earth.

Seeking

I look to heavens seeking the light.
Seeking my guardian angels in the stars out tonight.
Are you with me each step of the way?
Holding my hand and guiding me all the way?
Are these footsteps i see, just mine alone? home?

The Price of Immortality

Fame is a fickle friend,
Today it stands beside you side, end to end.

Everyone wants to be your fan.
Swear that no one else could ever be the man.

Where were they then you were framed,
Of being an indecent parent or a child molester all the same?

Did they then burn out candles in your name?
Or cry these tears and think your not to blame?

Did they really care for if you heard demons in the dark?
Or is this the price one has to pay to make the mark?

The mark of success with no joy in the end,
Sadness and lonliness were your only faithful friends.

Woe unto the famous out there,
Here is a message wide and clear.

When you have money in the bank plenty,
Family, Friends and Fans will come in twenty.

But these people will not care for you untill your gone,
and even then may stand withness to the fact that everything was all wrong.

You are forgotten with the next days news,
or if your lucky people will wait untill the toxicology reviews.

The price of immortality is high,
If you dont beieve it, just asked the latest celebrity who died!

Priceless Smiles

We have become so gray in our minds, that the meaning of these colours are lost in the mist of clouds of smoke and haze of the city. Each colour has its own message to an individual. I sense a peacefulness of the mind and heart in these women who otherwise live a harsh life of sustenance and traditional norms.
