London

I just moved to London from Boston, MA and after the initial shock of arriving in a new country, I quickly got into the pace of life here. Apart from the weather changing at this time of the year, one can easily get carried away with the fast talking Britons who have respect and affection for foreigners. Thankfully, I often encountered wonderful people along the way who never minded pointing us in the right direction or even taking a short walk with us to our destination.

We found the houses quite small and tiny compared to the eastern and western standards but they surrounding beauty makes up for the lack of space. After all one needs home to sleep because London has more life outside than inside the home.
The city is bustling as ever and one can see that its much like described with the policemen in
their big black hats and the famous double Decker buses which are as much part of the landmarks of the city as the Buckingham palace and Hyde park. One can always find their way easily with a city map and an all day pass to the underground which can be used on all trains and buses as all the streets have signs either on the streets or buildings which add to the efficiency of findings places in this vast city.

This is once city that lives up to its historical name inspiring fear when twilight dawns with the stories of Jack the Ripper and Oliver Twist. The diversity of literally every aspect of London makes one feel it the center of the Earth.
